One of the company’s eLearning initiatives is to promote new ways of learning among the MUSLIM community which requires project sponsorship/funding from interested parties. The proposed idea/concept is to develop the current knowledge, information and content i.e. Al Quran, Hadith, Fikih Sunnah e.g. Solat, Zakat, Puasa Haji etc. and other Islamic modules/information in various forms & various references e.g. Books, Al Quran Hardcopies, CD, Notes, Journals, Knowledge Base Content etc. into eLearning Islamic Courseware based on eLearning International Standards (Sharable Content Objects Reference Model -SCORM)

The initiative will be managed by a team of professional eLearning personnel and the program (Islamic eLearning) is planned for unlimited time schedule but will be reviewed after the five year program implementation for the Malaysian Muslim people.

Knowledge Management ('KM') comprises a range of practices used by organisations to identify, create, represent, and distribute knowledge. It has been an established discipline since 1995 with a body of university courses and both professional and academic journals dedicated to it. Many large companies have resources dedicated to Knowledge Management and willing to invest to ensure learning process is evolving or moving towards a right direction.

Teaching with the aid of computers helps teachers and students alike. Teachers get students to teach students a multitude of subject like online research, programming, basic computer knowledge and a lot more. To be truthful, teachers can rarely get all if not most of the students to participate in lab session. Well for one thing the teacher can’t do much as they do not face the computers but rather the students. And when the teachers walk by everyone is an exemplary student. Now the question is how will the teacher look at the students’ computer and the student at the same time does not seem possible.

Ever heard of green computing? Well not many have. If they have not many are willing to look into it. You need reasons to go green? Well from an environmentalists perspective I would say it can reduce pollution. Only one reason is not half as good two good reasons, well the other reason is that it can reduce operating costs dramatically. Already have a computer network running. Well how about extending the life of your equipment and save money while you’re at it? Going green is not all about the environment. In truth no business would want to spend money on something that is not beneficial to them. So there here we come saving the environment and your operating costs.
